Alicia Allison of Santa Ana overcame a three-hole deficit against Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza to win, 1-up, in their semifinal match at the U.S. Girls’ Junior golf championship Friday at Indianapolis.

Booth, who attends Santa Margarita High School, was 3-up after 13 holes on the 6,047-yard Meridian Hills Country Club, but Allison rallied to win four of the next five holes. Allison, a Foothill High School student, won the 18th when Booth three-putted.

“I played terribly today and so did Kellee,” Allison said. “It’s the worst we’ve played all week. I’ve got to go to the driving range and find my swing.”

Tiger Woods of Cypress shot a two-under 68 to win the boys’ 15-16 division and overall titles of the American Junior Golf Assn. Boys’ Junior Championship in Irving, Tex.

It was Woods’ fourth AJGA victory of the year, along with Phoenix Junior Championship, Mission Hills Desert Junior and San Antonio Shootout.

“The wind was really messing with me, but I hit it solid all day,” Woods said. “I didn’t care that I came into the final round one stroke behind. I just played for today and came away the winner.”

Bob May of La Habra shot an eight-under 64 to take the first-round lead in the Ben Hogan Tour Wichita Charity Classic, played at Reflection Ridge Golf course in Wichita, Kan. May was seven under in the final 11 holes. He made an eagle, eight birdies and two bogeys.
