Marian 31, Riverside Twin Pines 0--After going 0-10 and scoring only 24 points all season in 1991, Marian started ’92 on a positive note.

Marian exceeded its 1991 scoring output in the first three quarters Friday, and its defense held Twin Pines’ offense to minus-six yards.

“That was the hardest hitting game I’ve seen in a while,” said Patriot Coach Mike David. “(Twin Pines) didn’t complete a pass. We really wanted to get a shutout. We’re real pleased. The guys have really come together.
