SAN DIEGO : Lakeside Man Dies in Crash

An 85-year-old Lakeside man died early Monday morning when his car hit a pickup truck that had crashed into a freeway guard rail.
The victim, Challen Fillmore Bennett, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on southbound Interstate-5 near Balboa Park, the California Highway Patrol reported. The accident took place at 3:20 a.m.
