COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : UCLA : San Diego State’s Lowery Is Injured
San Diego State quarterback David Lowery will not start Saturday’s game against UCLA at the Rose Bowl, and Coach Al Luginbill said Lowery might not play at all because of a lower back injury.
The Aztecs will start Tim Gutierrez, who played at Oxnard Santa Clara High, at quarterback and will evaluate Lowery after pregame warm-ups, Luginbill said. Gutierrez’s college experience consists of two handoffs in a game last season against Hawaii.
