Share

As good as Kennedy High running back Donte Scarbrough is, he couldn’t carry the Golden Cougars against host Crenshaw.

Crenshaw, the defending City Section 3-A champion, improved to 2-1; Kennedy dropped to 0-3.

Scarbrough carried on 23 of the Golden Cougars’ 44 plays and totaled 87 yards, but he had trouble getting past Crenshaw inside linebackers Dennis Fomond and Marshon Caulton. Kennedy didn’t get a first down until three minutes before halftime.
