Glendale Mayor Carl Raggio today will assume chairmanship of the Tri-City Transportation Coalition, a policy-making organization formed three years ago to work for transportation improvements in Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena.
Raggio was instrumental in forming the coalition and served as the first chairman of the 21-member board of governors in 1989-1990. Burbank Councilman Thomas Flavin is vice chairman and Sharon Clark of the Pasadena Transportation Advisory Commission is secretary-treasurer.
Each of the three cities has an appointed seven-member delegation of elected and public officials and business and transportation leaders.
