Democratic Offices Struck by Burglars
Burglars made off with about $5,000 worth of electronic equipment Monday from a Democratic Party campaign office in Montebello.
Computer equipment, television sets and a fax machine were taken from the East Los Angeles regional headquarters of the United Democratic Campaign on West Beverly Boulevard, said party spokeswoman Evelyn Fierro. The theft occurred between 2 and 10 a.m., Fierro said.
It was the latest crime to be reported at political offices. Earlier, fires were set in two Republican Party offices.
