In Century League water polo:

Santa Ana Valley 9, El Modena 3--Senior Todd Wines scored six goals to give him 104 this season and 202 in his career for host Santa Ana Valley (19-3, 3-0), ranked 10th in Division I. David Vega scored the other three goals for Santa Ana Valley. El Modena is 13-7, 1-2.

Villa Park 13, Orange 4--Lenny Malo had six goals for Villa Park (12-9, 2-1).

Foothill 23, Canyon 12 Brent Palluck had six goals and David Hay had four for visiting Foothill (12-6, 3-0).

In the Empire League:

Esperanza 8, Los Alamitos 4--Eric Poole and Brandon Martinez each scored two for Esperanza (18-3, 2-0), ranked No. 3 in Division II. Craig Thomas had 13 saves for the Aztecs.

El Dorado 26, Loara 3--Jeff Rach had seven goals, Sam Kim had four goals and Wade Anderson had three for host El Dorado (8-14, 2-1).

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 9, Buena Park 6--Tom Davis had 14 saves for La Habra and held Buena Park to two goals in the first three quarters. Dan Ploog scored three goals and Richard Puliselich and Bryan Vaden each had two for the Highlanders (11-11, 2-1).

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 23, Savanna 2--Craig Vershaw, Brian Degenhardt, Toby Porter and Marat Shub each scored three goals for host Brea-Olinda (11-11, 3-1).

Magnolia 10, Valencia 9--Mustafa Hassan scored six for host Magnolia (17-4, 2-2), which fell behind, 3-0, in the first quarter before rallying.

In the Sea View League:

Saddleback 10, Irvine 8--Isaac Gonzalez and Mario Valenzuela scored three goals each for host Saddleback (12-7, 3-2).

Tustin 9, Santa Margarita 7--Tony Lewis scored three goals and Eric Scholten and Jim Lowe each scored two goals for host Tustin (8-10, 3-2).

Corona Del Mar 23, University 2--Crosby Grant had six goals for Corona Del Mar (13-6, 5-0).

In the Sunset League:

Marina 11, Edison 5--Jason Klick scored three goals for Marina (15-6, 5-0), ranked second in Division II.

Fountain Valley 13, Huntington Beach 5--Ofer Horn had five goals for Fountain Valley (13-4, 5-0), ranked fifth in Division II.

In Empire League girls’ volleyball:

Los Alamitos 3, Loara 0--Maria Bowden had 20 kills and Luann Petix 24 assists for Los Alamitos (8-2, 5-1), which won, 15-5, 15-5, 15-3.

In Pacific Coast League boys’ cross-country:

Estancia 21, Costa Mesa 40--Andrew Russell of Costa Mesa won the race in 15:53 but the victory gave Estancia (5-0) the league title. Peter Ho (16:04) and Johann Appell (16:07) were second and third for Estancia.
