Granada Hills 8, El Camino Real 6--Sparked by a 43-yard punt return by Shontrelle Ryals, the host Highlanders (3-4, 3-1) scored the only points they would need in the first quarter.
Jamal Brooks scored the touchdown, grabbing a 16-yard pass from quarterback Jimmy Landress. Brooks and Landress also connected on the two-point conversion, which provided the winning points.
The Conquistadores (2-5, 2-2) came out strong in the second half, scoring on a four-yard run by Chris Shinnick. The scoring play capped a 66-yard, 12-play march.
