Blowing the Whistle on SDSU’s Problems
The problem with the San Diego State football team is not the referees. It is the coaching. The Aztecs would be a top-10 team if rankings were based on underachieving. They are not prepared to play the game. Good teams do not make the mistakes the Aztecs regularly make. The offensive game plan is pathetic. When Marshall Faulk get three carries in a quarter, something is screwy. The Aztecs have had excellent recruiting classes but do not block and tackle on Saturdays. None of this is the fault of the referees.
