When Albritton replaced injured starter Gabe Garcia in the third quarter Saturday, things looked pretty bleak for the Dons. Fullerton was ahead, 28-0, and seemingly in control. But under Albritton’s direction, Rancho Santiago put on an impressive rally.

He guided the Dons to four touchdowns in the fourth quarter, passing for two and running for two more in the game’s final 10 minutes. He scored on two one-yard runs to get Rancho Santiago back in the game. His 39-yard touchdown pass to Mark Flatten cut the lead to 28-21. He connected with Flatten again for a 12-yard scoring pass with 39 seconds left to get the Dons within a point.

Rancho Santiago Coach Dave Ogas then called for a two-point try and Albritton capped his night by reaching the end zone on a bootleg. He was 10 of 15 for 196 yards, completing eight of nine for 192 yards in the fourth quarter.
