VAN NUYS : Motorcyclist, 15, Dies in Collision
A 15-year-old Van Nuys youth was killed Wednesday when he ran a stop sign on a motorcycle and collided with a van in a Van Nuys intersection, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The youth, whose identity was withheld until his family could be notified, was riding west on Victory Boulevard about 1:40 a.m. when he ran a stop sign and struck a van driving south on Encino Avenue, Officer Robert Crupi said. The youth was not licensed to drive the motorcycle, Crupi said.
The driver of the van was not injured in the crash, Crupi said.
