1991-92: 15-5-6, 5-2-3 in Orange League; lost to Millikan in second round of 3-A playoffs.

Key returners: Micah Knorr, Sr., midfielder, three-year starter; Paul Lopez, Sr., sweeper; Alex Martinez, Sr., midfielder, four-year letterman; Hugo Regalado, Jr., fullback; Edward Rodriguez, So., midfielder, second-team all-league; Robert Rodriguez, Sr., midfielder, seven goals and was third-team All-Southern Section; Marcelo Sandoval, Sr., forward, five goals; Roberto Vasquez, Sr., fullback, second-team all-league.

Key newcomers: Neal Becerra, Sr., forward, transfer from Canyon Springs; Geronimo Serna, Jr. goalkeeper, MVP of junior varsity.

Outlook: An experienced team that has speed and strength. “We’re not teaching our system to these kids, they know how to do it,” Carrillo said. A lot depends on Serna, who is the first true goalie the Panthers have had in two years. If he has a good season, Orange can go a long way.
