Rancho Alamitos 57, Ocean View 55--Akilah Rogers scored 17 points for Rancho Alamitos (2-1), which will play Mission Hills Alemany for fifth place at 4:30 p.m. today. Dustine Yamamoto had 13 points for Ocean View (4-3).

Mission Hills Alemany 68, Troy 43--Samantha Rigley had 19 points and five rebounds to lead Alemany (7-1). Jenny Gadd had nine points and six rebounds for Troy (4-2).

In the El Dorado Co-Ed tournament:

El Dorado 62, Fullerton 22--Kim Korsmeier’s defensive play in the second quarter helped the Golden Hawks take control and turn a five-point first-quarter lead into a 15-point margin at the half in the championship semifinals.

“Kim came off the bench and picked up our defense, which gave the others the spark they needed,” El Dorado Coach Gary Raya said.

The Golden Hawks (4-0) play Downey (4-1) for the championship at 6 tonight at El Dorado High. Earlier, Downey beat Saugus Canyon, 60-35.

“Downey plays a lot like we do,” Raya said. “The Vikings are a tough, good team, but their two-three zone will force us to shoot better than we did (against Fullerton).”

Jody Caruso led El Dorado with 17 points. Korsmeier and Nicole de Bruijn each had 14 points. Jamie Sweet and de Bruijn each scored a three-point basket.

For Fullerton (1-3), Nadia Hoerner scored 10 points. The Indians play Canyon at 3 p.m. today for third place.
