Wilson 66, Garfield JV 37--Power forward Octavio Brito, who had 24 points and eight rebounds and two blocked shots, led Wilson to a first-round victory in the L.A. Invitational tournament at East L.A. College.

Ozzie Aguilar, with 10 points, was the only Garfield player to score in double figures. Wilson used a simple man-to-man defense to build a 25-4 first quarter lead.
