Carbone Leads Los Alamitos in Hawaii
Tournament MVP Steve Carbone scored 18 points to lead Los Alamitos to a 68-51 victory over Vancouver St. Thomas More in the championship game of the Maui Invitational boys’ basketball tournament Saturday night at Maui High in Kahului, Hawaii.
Los Alamitos (10-2) jumped to a 23-9 lead after one quarter and led by 21 points at halftime. Nguyen Little had 10 points and six steals, and Kenny Lin had eight assists for the Griffins. St. Thomas More is 9-1.
Colin Burke, Brady Doyle, and Little earned all-tournament honors for Los Alamitos.
