PRO FOOTBALL : DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Free Agency Opportunities Beckon
Several Raiders will probably get a chance to test the free agency market once the new labor agreement is put into effect
Heading the list of potential free agents from the Raiders are cornerback Terry McDaniel, who was selected to the Pro Bowl; wide receiver Tim Brown, running back Marcus Allen and quarterback Jay Schroeder.
“We’ll find out what will happen after Saturday,” Schroeder said, referring to the Raiders’ game in Washington. “I’m not going to start worrying about the off-season until then.”
Other potential free agents are safety Ronnie Lott, wide receivers Sam Graddy and Willie Gault, fullback Steve Smith, offensive linemen Steve Wright and Bruce Wilkerson, quarterback Vince Evans, linebackers Aundray Bruce, Winston Moss and Riki Ellison, punter Jeff Gossett and defensive lineman Bob Golic.
The Raiders’ injury report for Washington lists safety Eddie Anderson (knee), offensive guard Steve Wisniewski (shin), fullback Smith (neck) and Schroeder (shoulder) as probable. Special teams leader Elvis Patterson (hamstring) and offensive tackle Greg Skrepenak (knee) are listed as questionable.
