In other Carl’s Jr. Classic games:

Century 55, Cypress 54--Forward Thomas Harmon made a layup with one second remaining for Century (8-3) in a consolation game. Forward Robby Walshe had given Cypress (5-5) a 54-53 lead with 16 seconds left when he made a free throw, but teammate Eric Oda turned the ball over with five seconds left.

Anaheim 50, Costa Mesa 39--Boun Malapha scored 20 points and Junior Gonzalez added 15 to lead Anaheim (3-7) over Costa Mesa (5-3) in a consolation game.

In the Fiesta Bowl tournament:

Chandler (Ariz.) 68, El Toro 50--A 19-point first-quarter deficit proved too much for El Toro (4-7) to overcome in a semifinal game. Jim Lewis led El Toro with 16 points.

Mountain View (Mesa, Ariz.) 69, La Quinta 44--Calvin Mackey scored 13 points for La Quinta (2-6) in a consolation semifinal. Cliff Brady had 11 points for Mountain View (7-2).

In the Las Vegas Prep Classic:

Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill 58, Huntington Beach 48--Matt Ambrose scored 13 points for Huntington Beach (9-3), while teammates Bryan Chang and Tommy Walden each had 11 points. Huntington Beach will play Los Angeles Manual Arts for third place Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.

Huntington Beach 59, Inglewood Morningside 54--Tony Gonzalez scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds for Huntington Beach.

In the Above The Rim tournament:

Mater Dei 78, South Lake Tahoe 38--Miles Simon had 25 points, five assists and three steals for Mater Dei (12-0), the top-ranked team in Orange County. David Drakeford and Terence Wilborn had 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Monarchs. Mater Dei advances to the semifinals tonight against the winner of Bishop Laughlin (N.Y.) and Sacramento Jesuit.

In the Canyon tournament:

Servite 47, Canyon 46--David Downs scored 15 points to lead Servite to a consolation victory over Canyon (8-5), which got 16 points from John Werhas.

Australia Nanawading B 57, Bolsa Grande 45--James Britton scored 18 points for Bolsa Grande (5-4), which fell 10 points behind in the first quarter in the consolation semifinal.

In nonleague play:

Needles 60, St. Margaret’s 51--Needles (10-0), a Nevada state runner-up last season, hasn’t lost at home in three years and held off visiting St. Margaret’s (5-4). St. Margaret’s trailed by 17 points with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter and made a run with sophomore Damian Raibon scoring 10 of his 27 points in the quarter.
