ROSE BOWL / DAILY REPORT : MICHIGAN : Wolverines Past the Practice Hurdle
Coach Gary Moeller heaved a sigh of relief when his Michigan football team finished its last contact practice at Orange Coast College and no one was injured.
“You always worry, especially before a big game like the Rose Bowl, that you’ll lose someone,” he said. “Last year, we lost (starting center) Steve Everitt, and it hurt us.
“All that’s left now is one more workout Wednesday in shorts and shoulder pads and helmets. No live contact. And Thursday we’ll take them to the Rose Bowl for a walk-through drill.”
Tuesday night, the Wolverines attended the Big Ten Dinner of Champions at the Century Plaza.
