Los Angeles Salsa Announces Schedule for First Soccer Season

The Los Angeles Salsa, which will play its American Professional Soccer League games in Titan Stadium at Cal State Fullerton, announced Thursday the schedule for its inaugural season.

The Salsa will play 12 regular-season home games, beginning Saturday, May 1, against the Toronto Blizzard. The season will continue into September, with the playoffs scheduled to begin Sept. 17.

All regular-season home games will be played Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Salsa officials also plan to play 10 exhibition games at Titan Stadium.

The schedule:

May 1--TORONTO; May 9--at Vancouver; May 14--MONTREAL; May 21--FT. LAUDERDALE.

June 5--at Colorado; June 13--VANCOUVER; June 26--TAMPA BAY.

July 2--at Ft. Lauderdale; July 3--at Tampa Bay; July 10--FT. LAUDERDALE; July 11--at Colorado; July 17--TAMPA BAY; July 25--TORONTO.

Aug. 1--COLORADO; Aug. 6--at Montreal; Aug. 8--at Toronto; Aug. 15--COLORADO; Aug. 20--at Toronto; Aug. 22--at Montreal; Aug. 27--MONTREAL.

Sept. 4--VANCOUVER; Sept. 8--at Vancouver; Sept. 11--at Tampa Bay; Sept. 12--at Ft. Lauderdale.
