COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Troilo Goes to Bat for Rancho Santiago

Darren Troilo went four for four with a triple and four runs batted in to lead Rancho Santiago to a 7-2 victory over San Diego City Tuesday in a nonconference baseball game at Rancho Santiago.

Brandon Hoalton allowed five hits and two runs over eight innings and struck out nine for the Dons (6-1).

In other nonconference baseball:

Fullerton 5, Cerritos 3--Damon Newman allowed two runs over six innings for Fullerton (6-2). Cerritos is 3-5.

Los Angeles Harbor 5, Cypress 4--Eric Stevens, Greg Tippin and Keith McDonald homered for Cypress (6-2).

In nonconference softball:

El Camino 6, Rancho Santiago 2--Lee Ann Morratino had three hits for Rancho Santiago (0-3).

In nonconference men’s tennis:

Orange Coast 5, San Diego Mesa 4--Ali Esna won his No. 1 singles match, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5, for OCC (2-0).
