If Philadelphia, as planned, designates Reggie White its “franchise player,” the Eagles will receive a compensatory draft choice if the free-agent defensive end signs with another team, the NFL said.
As an unrestricted free agent, White is free to sign with another team between March 1 and July 15. Because White was involved in litigation against the NFL before the league and the players reached a tentative labor settlement, there are no restrictions on his moving.
