The numbers have been totaled. And they are as impressive as the towering frames of identical twin forwards Nick (6-foot-8) and Paul (6-7) Foster of Thousand Oaks High.

Through 24 regular-season games, Lancer Coach Ed Chevalier suppressed the urge to total the twins’ blocked shots--although team statisticians had been recording them game by game. Nick’s game high is six, Paul’s five. And both have reached their game highs twice.

However, with the Lancers (23-1) having completed the regular season by rolling to a 14-0 Marmonte League record, Chevalier took the time to do the addition.

The results: Nick 76, Paul 72.

More swats are likely to follow as Thousand Oaks, ranked second in The Times’ area poll, plays host to Arroyo Grande tonight in the opening round of the Southern Section Division I-A playoffs.

Aside from Campbell Hall’s Alex Lopez, who has an area-high 83 blocks, no area player comes close to the Fosters’ totals. And no team boasts two players with so many blocks.

“There are about 10 (instances) where they both blocked the (same) shot,” Chevalier said.

Shooting: Steve Hodge of Royal led the Highlanders in scoring, averaging 14.5 points. Hodge made 48 of 109 (44.0%) from three-point range. . . .

Crescenta Valley forward Adam Jacobsen is shooting 46% (91 of 198) from three-point range this season. Jacobsen’s Southern Section record career total is 379 three-point baskets. . . . L.A. Baptist’s Zaki Rabadi is averaging 26.0 points over his last five games.

Four Montclair Prep players have made better than 65% of their free throws: Blake Sonne (83.7%), Akil Anderson (75%), Jerome Joseph (67.1%) and Greg Sweet (65.5%).

Miscellaneous: Hart forward Matt Steffe led the Foothill League in scoring (21.5) and rebounding (9.6). Hart guard Eric Spindt led the league in assists (4.9) and steals (2.5). . . . Santa Clara guard Brian Clark edged out Nordhoff swingman Mark Sebek for the Frontier League scoring crown. Clark finished with an 18.0 average (432 points in 24 games) and Sebek ended at 17.9 (430 in 24). Clark also led the league in steals (3.1). Sebek did win the rebounding (11.1) and assists (4.2) titles. No other Frontier player averaged double figures in rebounding. . . . Monroe’s LaMarco Rich leads the area in assists (219 in 21 games, 10.1 average).

Verdugo Hills standout Eddie Powell, a 5-11 senior who moved from guard to center seven games ago, has made the most of the transition. Powell has grabbed 129 rebounds since making the switch for a 18.4 average. His season average of 13.9 makes him the current leader among area City Section players, ahead of Chatsworth’s Brady Mertes (12.7) and North Hollywood’s Damon Ollie (12.3).
