Ventura Raceway Promoter Honored at USAC Banquet

Ventura Raceway promoter Jim Naylor was honored at the U.S. Auto Club’s Western States Series annual banquet for his work in promoting USAC-sponsored events and helping USAC grow on the West Coast.

Two local drivers and an owner were also honored. Rick Hendrix of Simi Valley was recognized for his 1992 USAC Three-Quarter Midget driving championship, sharing the award with car owner Jim Sharp of Oxnard.

Walt Johnson of Sun Valley was named the Three-Quarter Midget division’s most improved driver.
