Toddler Riding on Skateboard Killed
A 3-year-old boy died Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a car while crossing a residential street on a skateboard, police reported.
Tyler Scott Borgia of Anaheim had reached the middle of North Kodiak Street when he was struck by a northbound car about 4:35 p.m. Witnesses told police that the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old youth, tried to stop, but was unable to avoid the child.
Borgia was airlifted to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries at 5:16 p.m. The driver of the car was not cited by police. An investigation into the accident is continuing.
