OUTLOOK Fullerton opened with eight victories and never looked back in winning the league championship last season. The Indians won nine games by one run but Hes knows the flip side to close games. “We lost 10 games by one run the year before,” he said. Hes has experienced infielders and outfielders and the team’s No. 2 and No. 3 pitchers returning. Golisomo, who transferred from Sonora to Fullerton and became eligible at mid-season, was 3-2 with a 1.98 earned-run average in six starts. He will head a deep staff that includes Ginter, Underwood, St. Pierre and Freeman. “My biggest concern is behind the plate,” Hes said. “Paul Halpin only played a couple of games behind David Chacon last year, so we’re relatively inexperienced there.” Ginter is the most talented player in the league. He has hit 13 homers in two seasons and is on pace to break former Valencia first baseman Andy Ruscitto’s county career home run mark of 22 homers set in 1984-86.
