Lemmon hit two home runs against Laguna Beach in a 22-5 Oceanside Tournament semifinal victory, then followed with another two-home run performance against Carlsbad in the championship. “He’s stepping forward this season, and we needed it against against Carlsbad because we were flat,” Woodbridge Coach Vince Brown said. Lemmon’s second home run against Carlsbad, a two-run shot in the sixth, pulled the Warriors even, 3-3, before Woodbridge scored three in the top of the seventh to win, 6-3.
