L.A. Charter Amendments
In response to “A ‘Yes’ Vote for Public Safety,” editorial, April 7:
I do agree that we need more police officers on the streets. However, I don’t think that best and fair way to collect the money is to charge homeowners and businesses. I am sure that there are at least three times more car owners than homeowners. If every Los Angeles car owner would pay the DVM $10 extra a year, we would be more safe in our city and the burden of raising the money would be on all the population.
