Say Sayonara : NBC is billing the hour-long May 8 episode of “A Different World” as the series finale, but the network in fact has a few remaining original episodes of the canceled Jasmine Guy-Kadeem Hardison show that will air later in the season. The “Cosby Show” spinoff, which ranked second after its first season in 1987-88, slipped to 71st in the ratings this year, down from 17th place a year ago. The May 8 episode features Guy and Hardison’s characters Whitley and Dwayne leaving Hillman College when Dwayne gets a lucrative job offer in Tokyo.
