In other Century League games:

Canyon 8, Santa Ana Valley 3--Annette Bailey had two hits and two RBIs, and Allison Rudd tripled and had two RBIs for Canyon (11-11, 2-4).

Foothill 4, Orange 0--Amy Tessman pitched her second no-hitter of the season, giving up two walks, and Christina Mazurie had two hits and a run scored for host Foothill (14-9, 4-2).

In Empire League softball:

Los Alamitos 1, Loara 0--Brandie Hayungs scored the game’s only run in the third inning on a throwing error by Loara third baseman Gina Bird. With Hayungs on second after she doubled, Michelle Schneider hit a ground ball to third. Bird’s throw bounced into right field and Hayungs scored.

Debbie Wilson (9-0) gave up two hits, struck out four and walked one for Los Alamitos (16-3, 4-2). Loara is 14-6, 2-4.

Katella 5, El Dorado 3--Michelle Bye drove in two runs with a triple in the first and Jamie Vaicaro hit a two-run home run in the second inning for host Katella (10-11, 4-2).

In the Freeway league:

Fullerton 1, La Habra 0--Freshman Marianne Imigh hit a sacrifice fly to score Kiki McAulay in the bottom of the seventh inning for Fullerton (11-13, 3-3) in the upset of La Habra (16-5, 4-2).

Troy 2, Sonora 1--Heidi Schmidt pitched a one-hitter, giving up no earned runs and striking out eight for visiting Troy (13-8, 3-3).

Sunny Hills 1, Buena Park 0--Jennifer VanDyke singled in Brandi Northrup in the top of the sixth to give Sunny Hills the victory. Bernie Fancuberta pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight. Sunny Hills is 9-9, 5-1.

In the Garden Grove League:

Kennedy 2, Pacifica 1--Erryn Gutjahr’s RBI single in the bottom of the first gave Kennedy a 2-0 lead. Lana Jiminez had two hits and scored a run and Lisa Pitt (9-1) went the distance for No. 3 Kennedy (19-2, 9-1). Pacifica fell to 14-7, 8-2.

La Quinta 2, Garden Grove 0--Shortstop Shawnay Aguilera hit a two-run double in the second and Teresa Pinkerton pitched a two-hitter for host La Quinta (7-12, 5-5). Garden Grove is 15-9, 6-4.

In the Olympic League:

Whittier Christian 9, Brethren Christian 6--Debbie Goddu tripled with the bases loaded in a six-run fourth inning for host Whittier Christian (7-9, 7-2). Goddu had two hits and scored two runs and struck out three and walked one. It was her first walk in eight games.

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 10, Anaheim 0 (6 innings, mercy rule)--Gena Tuso pitched a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking four to improve her record to 6-5. Juli Evers had three hits and an RBI and Samantha Cardenas had two hits and two RBIs for Brea-Olinda (14-8, 6-1).
