BALDWIN HILLS : Man Wounds His Wife at School, Later Kills Self
A disgruntled husband killed himself in his apartment after wounding his wife earlier in the day at a Baldwin Hills elementary school after classes had let out Monday, police said.
Billy Caldwell, 48, was found dead of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, police said. Officers stormed the apartment Monday evening after firing tear gas inside.
Earlier in the day, Caldwell went to Baldwin Hills School where his wife worked as an office manager, argued with her and shot her three or four times as their 11-year-old son watched, police said. The couple had been having marital problems, police said.
Jenny Caldwell, 45, was hospitalized in stable condition.
