BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJORS : Knee Operation Could Be in Dawson's Future

Associated Press

Andre Dawson, troubled by knee problems for much of his career, has cartilage damage in his right knee and faces the possibility of arthroscopic surgery that could sideline him about a month.

Arthur Pappas, the Boston Red Sox physician, said he is awaiting results of an old test to compare with a test taken last Thursday to determine if the damage is new.
