Hamilton placed himself in the Moore League record books by becoming the league’s third golfer to win three consecutive individual championships. Hamilton shot 220 for three rounds--a 4-under-par 68 at Recreation Park Golf Course, an 8-over-par 80 at Skylinks Golf Course and a par 72 at El Dorado Golf Course, all in Long Beach.

Other top prep performers:

* Ryan Bumgarner, a Lakewood High senior volleyball player, helped his team clinch the Moore League title with 16 kills and 5 blocks as Lakewood defeated Millikan, 9-15, 15-1, 18-16 and 15-12. The Lancers became the first team ever to go undefeated in league play.

* Brandon Traudt, a Wilson High swimmer, won the 500-yard freestyle for the fourth consecutive year at the Moore League finals. He also won the 200-yard freestyle and was a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team.
