DON’T DUCK THIS: If you’re one of those caught up in the Mighty Ducks craze and you just have to have a T-shirt or hat with the team logo, you can still get one at the Disneyland Hotel. But three other Disney stores in the county have sold out and don’t expect new shipments for more than a week. “It was crazy here,” says a clerk at the South Coast Plaza store. “People were buying them out of the box before we could get them priced and on the shelf.” The T-shirts generally run $17 to $25; hats are $17.

SCREEN WARS: If you want to see a movie in Orange County this weekend besides “Jurassic Park,” you’d better check the movie guide (F1), because it’s eating up most of the screens. The Steven Spielberg movie, the first summer blockbuster, opens countywide today, and will be shown on a record 55 movie screens. Previous record-holder: “Home Alone 2,” at 52 screens. . . . Try finding a non-action movie after June 18--that’s when Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Last Action Hero” will be competing with Spielberg for movie dollars.

Y’S GUY: The YMCA has been a major part of retired business executive E.H. (Hubie) Clark Jr.’s private life. His five sons and daughter were all in Y programs, while he served on Y boards. Now grown, the kids are all on Y boards and their children are in Y programs. . . . Clark, who lives in San Clemente, is still pretty active himself. Last week he was named chairman of the national YMCA. “It focuses on helping kids and families grow strong,” Clark says. “It’s been a family thing for us.”

AGELESS WONDERS: San Diego Padres infielder Jeff Gardner (C10) and Seattle Mariner infielder Rich Amaral, who played together on Estancia High School’s 1980 team, are major league baseball’s oldest rookies--Gardner, 29, in the National League and Amaral, 31, in the American League. And Estancia Coach Ken Millard has a good idea why. . . . “It’s because I held them up with my coaching skills,” he says. “They would have been there years ago if not for me.”
