SANTA PAULA : 4 Men Sought After Robbery, Shooting
Santa Paula police on Friday were searching for four men wanted in the robbery of a Santa Paula man who was shot in the head after he refused to give up his money, authorities said.
Jose Fernandez told police the robbery occurred about 11:30 p.m. Thursday as he walked home from a bar.
Fernandez was shot once in the forehead and the bullet grazed his skull, police said. Despite his wound, Fernandez managed to walk to a nearby pay phone and call for help.
He was hospitalized overnight.
Police searched the area where the robbery occurred but found no suspects.
