OXNARD : New Rider Dies in Motorcycle Crash
An Oxnard man died Sunday when the motorcycle he was learning to drive crashed into a concrete wall.
Babak Hejazian, 24, was riding his new Yamaha motorcycle in a parking lot in the 2400 block of Vineyard Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a wall, Deputy Coroner Zelmira Isaac said.
Hejazian, who was not wearing a helmet, died immediately of multiple head injuries, Isaac said. He had just purchased the bike Friday and had no previous experience driving a motorcycle, Isaac said.
