In a swap of slumping outfielders, the Chicago Cubs traded Candy Maldonado to the Cleveland Indians for Glenallen Hill.
Maldonado, 32, returns to Cleveland, where he hit .273 with 22 homers and 95 RBIs in 1990. He is hitting .186 with three homers and 15 RBIS in 70 games.
Hill, 28, is batting .224 with five homers and 25 RBIs in 66 games.
