HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Palmdale Finally Scores but Miller Wins, 27-16

Rocque Sandoval passed for 194 yards and two touchdowns but Palmdale dropped a nonleague game to A.B. Miller, 27-16, Thursday night at Fontana High.

Sandoval rallied the Falcons (0-2) by throwing two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, giving Palmdale its first points of the season.

Anthony Coleman scored on a 12-yard screen pass to cap a 97-yard drive for Palmdale and also took a shovel pass from Sandoval 50 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the game.

Sandoval completed 15 of 29 passes with two interceptions.

A.B. Miller (2-0), which is playing its second season of varsity football, dominated Palmdale for most of the game, limiting the Rebels to four yards rushing in the first half and 49 yards in the game.

David Anderson had 95 yards in 10 carries for A.B. Miller and Deshawn Harris scored on touchdown runs of seven and five yards.
