Senior Chris Blume played a leading role for Troy in its 32-3 nonleague victory Friday night over Garden Grove at Fullerton High School.

Blume rushed six times for 66 yards and two touchdowns. As a linebacker, he had an interception that set up Matt Frobenius’ three-yard touchdown run. On special teams, Blume kicked two extra points to help the Warriors to their first victory.

Junior halfback Ryl Relatores led the Warriors with 13 carries for 110 yards, 77 of which came in the second half. Included in that total was a 32-yard touchdown run to cap the scoring.

The Warrior defense forced two turnovers and held the Argonauts to 116 yards total offense.

Troy quarterback Brian Logan completed three of seven passes for 73 yards and one touchdown, all to split end Nick Ruzzi.

“Our offense sputtered a little in the second half,” Warrior Coach John Turek said. “But we hit people and we played hard. I’m real pleased.”
