Antelope Valley, which last week came within a whisker of upsetting Bakersfield, the third-ranked team in the state, knocked off highly rated Loyola, 15-14, in a nonleague game Friday night.

Antelope Valley scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to stun the Cubs, who entered the game ranked sixth in the state by Cal-Hi Sports magazine.

Trailing, 14-8, Antelope Valley scored the game-winning touchdown on a 13-yard pass from Mike Gleich to receiver David Newman with 15 seconds left. Chad Shrout kicked the extra point to give the Antelopes the victory. Next week: Loyola at San Diego Morse.
