Enrico Bozman rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and the Los Alamitos defense posted its fourth shutout in five games in a 41-0 nonleague victory Thursday night at Gahr High School.

Bozman scored on runs of four, 56 and two yards, and gained 135 yards in the first half. Millikan’s defense held Bozman to four yards in five carries in the second half.

“Our defense played great,” Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes said. “We still have a lot to work on.”

Spearheading the Los Alamitos defense was senior defensive lineman Robert Torres, who blocked a punt, had one of the Griffins’ three quarterback sacks, and made several tackles for losses.

Los Alamitos quarterback Mike Good shook off a poor start to complete 16 of 31 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns, both to Brad Melsby. The senior completed only two of his first eight passes for nine yards.

Bozman scored the first two touchdowns for Los Alamitos, then Good hit Melsby on scoring strikes of 47 and seven yards to lift the Griffins to a 28-0, third-quarter lead.

Millikan (1-4) turned the ball over four times, leading to 14 Los Alamitos points.
