COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Penalty Kick Helps Fullerton Gain Tie

Alex Perez of Fullerton scored on a penalty kick with about two minutes left to give the Hornets a 3-3 tie with Orange Coast in an Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer game Friday at Fullerton.

Colin Lidzbarski scored a second-half goal to give OCC (6-0-5, 1-0-2 in conference) a 3-2 lead. Jose Figueroa scored two first-half goals for Fullerton (4-3-5, 2-1-1).

In another conference game:

Irvine Valley 3, Cypress 0--Keith Madison, Thomas Okokhere and Frank Pace scored in the first half for visiting Irvine Valley.

In Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:

Cypress 4, Palomar 1--Leah Russell, Carrie Fair, Debbie Klein and Pam Prine scored for visiting Cypress (13-0-1, 4-0).

In South Coast Conference water polo:

Golden West 27, Mt. San Antonio 4--Luke Phair, Michael McKinnon, and Ryk Wormgoor each scored four goals for host Golden West (16-0, 3-0).
