Crash Kills Motorcyclist, 25, in Acton
ACTON —
A 25-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed on North Aliso Canyon Road in Acton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The man was traveling 60 to 70 m.p.h. when he overshot a curve about 6:30 p.m., veered across the eastbound lane and struck a dirt shoulder, Officer Susan Seruga said.
The CHP declined to identify the dead man pending notification of his relatives.
Seruga said the man’s helmet apparently had no chin strap and was useless in protecting him.
