Assume four three-pars per game. That means you must play 3,125 rounds to reach the median.
I started golfing in 1949 (at Griffith Park) and have averaged about 25 rounds a year for the last 42 years for 1,050 rounds. My closest to the pin was four inches.
I need 2,075 more rounds to meet the odds.
At 25 rounds per year, that means I’ve got to play until the year 2076. I’ll be only 144 years old.
I’m seriously considering cheating.
