N.Y. Prep Standout Re-Signs With UCI

Kevin Simmons, a 6-8 forward whose letter of intent to UC Irvine became void when he failed a state competency test after high school, has re-signed to play at Irvine, according to his former coach at Brooklyn’s Tilden High School.
“I was a little surprised when he originally signed with Cal Irvine,” Tilden Coach Eric Eisenberg said, “but I’m glad he showed this loyalty.
