In another Cypress tournament games:

Cypress 49, Fountain Valley 44--Jessica Eggleston had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Cypress. Teammate Julie Adams had 21 points and 22 rebounds. Cypress, which has hosted the tournament for past 15 years, will make its first championship appearance.

In the Bolsa Grande tournament:

Laguna Hills 38, South Torrance 33--Freshmen Tamara Inoue, who had 14 points, and Tayyiba Hanees, with 11 points, led Laguna Hills for a fifth-place victory. Laguna Hills improved to 3-4.

Tustin 59, Westminster 32--Erin Oakley had 14 points and Sarah Davis added 11 and eight assists to lead Tustin (4-2), in a quarterfinal game.

In the Estancia tournament:

Irvine 49, Compton Centennial 38--Shawnee Stevens had 22 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for Irvine in a third-place game. Meaghan Woodruff added 11 points for the Vaqueros (4-2).

In the La Quinta tournament:

La Quinta 36, Dana Hills 33--Linda Rodriguez’s three-point play with six seconds left won it for La Quinta (3-2) in a semifinal game. Rhonda Gondringer scored 13 points and Rodriguez added 10 for La Quinta. Karun Grossman led Dana Hills with 14 points. La Quinta will face Ocean View in tonight’s championship at 7:30 p.m.

Ocean View 46, Santiago 34--Becky Fraser scored 13 points and had 13 rebounds for Ocean View (5-1) in a semifinal game.

Esperanza 58, Norwalk Glenn 42--Center Jeanine Cherney led Esperanza with 16 points in a consolation game. Esperanza is 3-3.

Troy 58, Foothill 23--Jennie Gadd had 20 points and Becky How had 12 for Troy (5-3) in a consolation game.

In the Orange Lutheran tournament:

Century 48, Liberty Christian 31--Nina Alexander had 18 points and nine rebounds for Century (5-1), in a first-round game.

In nonleague play:

Anaheim 34, Loara 33--Stephanie Durrett scored 16 points and had 13 rebounds for visiting Anaheim. The Colonists improved to 4-4, after going winless in 1992-93.

Capistrano Valley Christian 57, St. Margaret’s 40--Andie Shaffner scored 17 points and had 18 rebounds to lead visiting Capistrano Valley (4-3).

La Habra 43, Hacienda Heights Los Altos 42--Amy Lien scored 26 points to lead La Habra (3-3). The junior also had eight rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals.
