San Pedro High’s football team, which won its second consecutive City Section 3-A Division title on Friday, will be publicly recognized this morning at a Los Angeles City Council meeting at City Hall.

Harbor District Councilman Rudy Svorinich Jr. invited the football team, along with San Pedro’s cheerleaders, band, drill and flag teams, and student council to the meeting.

San Pedro (13-1) won the championship with a 31-7 victory over Fremont.

“San Pedro is proud to have a hard-working and dedicated team in our town,” said Svorinich, a San Pedro resident. “As an alumnus of San Pedro High School, it brings me great pride to give these City champions the praise and recognition that is due.”
