COLLEGE ROUNDUP : SCC Beats Occidental in Women’s Basketball

Jamie Zitterkopf had 15 points and 18 rebounds to help Southern California College to a 74-51 victory over Occidental in a nonconference women’s basketball game Monday at SCC.

Zitterkopf, a 6-foot senior center, also had six assists and Shawna McComb had 13 points for the Vanguards (9-3), who are off to their best start ever.

SCC, which led, 40-22, at halftime, outrebounded Occidental, 69-40. Betty Lu scored 25 points for the Tigers (2-4).

In the Oakland Tribune women’s basketball tournament:

California 104, CS Fullerton 69--Ingrid Dixson had 16 points and 15 rebounds for Cal (5-2), which had 12 players score. Fullerton’s leading scorers were Shayla Bradshaw and Autumn Hollyfield each with 15 points.
