PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Wright Demands the Ball More

Share

After catching six passes for a career-high 104 yards and one touchdown in the Raiders’ 27-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday, wide receiver Alexander Wright hopes to see the ball that often again Sunday at Green Bay.

“After not being in the game plan for the last couple of weeks, it felt good to make plays again,” said Wright, who had been slowed by an ankle injury.

According to Wright, who has 24 catches for 444 yards, the Raiders’ passing game will not be bothered by the cold weather in Wisconsin because they were successful in their last two road games, at Cincinnati and Buffalo.

Fullback Steve Smith did not practice this week after missing the Buccaneer game because of an ankle injury. He is listed as questionable for the Packers, but Coach Art Shell said that if Smith can warm up effectively before the game, he will play.

Rookie defensive backs Patrick Bates (quadriceps injury) and James Trapp (groin injury) are doubtful.
