In other Marina tournament games:

Fountain Valley 47, Marina 45--Erin Avila’s three-point basket with 27 seconds left lifted Fountain Valley (6-3) to an upset of No. 6 Marina (7-3). Avila had 10 points and Gina Ybarra had 11 for Fountain Valley. The Barons had a 13-5 scoring advantage in the third quarter and survived six lead changes in the fourth. Martita Emde had 18 points and Shandy Robbins 14 for Marina.

Ocean View 59, Rancho Bernardo 52--Farrah Magee scored eight of her 18 points in the third quarter for fourth-ranked Ocean View (8-1). Magee also had 22 rebounds and Allison Juroe had 12 for the Seahawks.

In the Costa Mesa tournament:

San Clemente 46, Arroyo Grande 34--Michelle Macintyre had 16 points and 12 rebounds for San Clemente (9-2), which will play Woodbridge in one semifinal.

Tustin 48, Capistrano Valley 46--Katie Scheuerman had 17 points and Sarah Davis had 11 points and six assists for the Tillers (8-2). Susie Scott had 17 points for Capistrano Valley (6-3).

In the girls’ Alaska Invitational basketball tournament:

Brea-Olinda 73, Palmer Colony (Alaska) 54--Colleen Hudson had a season-high 26 points as Brea-Olinda (9-0) advanced in Alaska. The Ladycats, ranked fifth in the the USA Today poll, play sixth-ranked Garfield Trinity (Ohio) today in the second round.

In the Kris Kringle Classic:

Trabuco Hills 52, Mountain View 21--Teka Henderson scored 17 points, Sarah Warnick added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Lilia Aguirre had 10 points to lead Trabuco Hills (5-7) in the second round.

Cypress 58, Ontario 35--Jessica Eggleston scored 38 points and Julie Adams had 18 rebounds for Cypress, which will face Savanna in a semifinal game today at 6 p.m.

Savanna 44, Los Amigos 27--Amy Klingelsmith scored 17 points and Shannon Pendergraft added 15, including three three-pointers, for Savanna.

In the Cavalier Classic:

Edison 76, Pacifica 38--Sophomore Marie Philman had a triple-double--40 points, 25 rebounds, 11 steals--and added seven assists to lead the Chargers (7-2) in a pool-play game.

El Modena 41, Santiago 26--Jaime Shine had 10 points and 15 rebounds and Norah Mariner added 10 points and 12 rebounds for El Modena (3-6).

Canyon 53, Fullerton 40--Robyn Kuhlmann scored 21 points for Canyon and Nadia Hoerner scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds for Fullerton (6-5).

In the girls Big A basketball tournament:

San Bernardino 62, Esperanza 54--Kristy Kierulff scored 19 points, but the Aztecs (5-5) lost in the second round.

Santa Ana 40, Western 31--Nancy Love led the way with 12 points and Monica Garcia (11) and Tanzenika Holmes (10) contributed as the Saints (6-2) advanced in the second round.

Esperanza 42, La Mirada 41--Lindsay Foss had 15 points for Esperanza (5-5) in the first round.

Magnolia 59, Ottawa Holy Trinity (Canada) 39--Whitney Torregano scored 22 points for the Sentinels (7-3) in a consolation game.

Irvine 59, Century 49--Melinda Newe scored 17 points and Shawnee Stevens added 16 to lead Irvine (5-7) in second-round play. Laura Zepeda scored a game-high 20 points and Nina Alexander added 19 for Century.

Calvary Chapel 71, La Sierra 18--Amy Perez and Meredith Amundson each scored 16 points to lead Calvary Chapel (7-4).

Santa Ynez 93, Orange Lutheran 48--Lori Wright scored 11 points for Orange Lutheran (5-6). Kirsten Pedersen had a game-high 26 points and Kristi Rohr added 24 points for Santa Ynez (10-1).
